GETTING STARTED

What is FLOW?

FLOW is a visual timeline for wedding photographers. You build the day once, with locations, travel, group sizes, golden hour and blue hour, and FLOW keeps you oriented on what is happening now and what comes next. When the day changes, you adjust in one tap and the rest of the timeline moves with you.

How do I create my first wedding?

Sign in, tap New flow on the home screen, and enter the couple, the date, and the main locations. FLOW builds a starting timeline with the standard blocks (arrival, getting ready, first look, ceremony, formals, cocktail hour, reception). Edit any block by tapping it, drag blocks to move them, and add photos or notes to each moment.

Is there a sample I can look at?

Yes. Every new account includes a sample wedding, Sarah and Jake, so you can see a finished FLOW before building your own. Feel free to edit or delete it.

What are Boards and Poses?

Poses is a gallery of wedding photography inspiration you can search and save. Boards are your own collections. You can attach any saved image to a block in your timeline so the inspiration is right there when the moment arrives.

WEDDING DAY

What is Wedding Day mode?

On the day of the wedding, FLOW shows a live Now and Next bar at the top of your timeline, counts down to the next moment, and warns you when a photo-heavy block is about to end. Tap Jump to live to return to the current moment at any time.

Something ran late. What do I do?

Tap the block that is running late and tell FLOW how many minutes. FLOW offers two choices: compress the following blocks to stay on schedule, or overlap so nothing gets shorter and the day simply ends later. Anchored blocks, like the ceremony or golden hour, never move.

What is an anchor?

An anchor is a block that stays put when the rest of the day shifts. Use anchors for anything with a fixed time: the ceremony, a sunset portrait, travel that cannot move.

How does FLOW know golden hour and blue hour?

FLOW calculates sunset, golden hour, and blue hour from the wedding location and date you enter. FLOW does not track your live location.

Will FLOW notify me during the day?

If you allow notifications, FLOW sends a small set of wedding-day reminders for the key moments you planned. You can turn these off in your iPhone Settings under Notifications.

SHARING

Can I share a timeline with my second shooter or a planner?

Yes. Open a wedding, tap Share, and choose Share as PDF or Share to a FLOW user (view-only). The PDF works for anyone. The view-only share is for other FLOW members, and they cannot change your timeline.

When they receive the flow from you, they simply open the text file on their phone that has the FLOW app installed. Then, in the bottom corner, select FLOW as the option to open with.

ACCOUNT AND BILLING

How much does FLOW cost?

FLOW is a monthly subscription with a 30-day free trial for new subscribers. The current price is shown on the subscription screen in the app. You are not charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time before then.

I am an existing Shoot The Veil member. Do I need to buy again?

No. Sign in with the same email you used before and your membership carries over. If FLOW shows the subscription screen anyway, tap Restore Purchases on that screen.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose FLOW by Shoot The Veil, and tap Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current period.

I forgot my password.

Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We will email you a code to set a new one.

How do I delete my account?

Open Account inside the app and choose Delete account, or use the form at shoottheveil.com/account-deletion. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel that in your iPhone Settings first.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The subscription button just spins.

This is usually Apple's purchase sheet, not FLOW. Close the app fully, reopen it, and try again. If it happens a second time, sign out of the App Store on your phone and back in.

My photos are not uploading.

FLOW accepts JPG and PNG. If a photo was taken in HEIC on a newer iPhone, open it in Photos and share it as a JPG, or change Camera settings to Most Compatible.

Something else is wrong.
